Light Rail Minneapolis Airport (MSP)

Minneapolis Airport counts with rail service available to all passengers.

Route

Light Rail Transit provides service at both terminals and runs to 19 different destinations by the Blue Line.

This route provides transportation between the stops Downtown Minneapolis (northbound) and the Mall of America (southbound).

Schedule

Trains depart every 10 minutes during peak hours and during the rest of hours run every 15 minutes approximately.

Travel time is between 12 (Mall of America) and 25 minutes (downtown Minneapolis) depending on your destination.

Location

- From Terminal 1: Light rail station is located in the Red and Blue parking ramps, just below the Transit Center.

- From Terminal 2: Light rail station is located north side of the Parking ramp with color Orange.

Fares

See the established fares below:

- Adults during rush hours: From Monday to Friday. Hours: From 06:00 am to 09:00 am and from 03:00 pm to 6:30 pm: $2.50

- Adults: Non-rushing hours: $2.00 

- Kids from 0 to 5 years (maximum 3 children with one paid fare): Free

Reduced fares are available for seniors, kids and persons with disabilities. 

Where do I buy my ticket?

You can purchase your ticket at ticket machines at the rail stations.

There is no need to purchase ticket to transfer between terminals.
